winter 2018 road trip After 20,000 miles of driving thru 29 states and Mexico, 42,000 of flying my winter 2018 road trip has come to an end in snowy Michigan. To the new friends I met along the way thanks for being apart of the trip. To my adopted family in California and friends who met up with me along the way thanks for joining me or inviting me into your homes. People ask me “don’t you get lonely out there”? …my answer is no….there is a lot to see and do out there and your only alone if you want to be. There are tons of moments in 6 months that I won’t forget. Interactions with Indians on their reservation, native people in Borneo, my awesome and patient Kiteboarding instructor, the climbing guides and porters on Kilimanjaro. I realized I spent time below sea level -282 feet in Death Valley as well as up to almost 20,000 feet on Kilimanjaro . Swam with whale sharks and kissed a Grey whale. Lots of beautiful fish and creatures in the Borneo jungle. One of my favorite moments on my trip was waking up on Angel Island in San Francisco Bay. I was the only one camping on the island that night and the view of the city and the Golden Gate was awesome, so I decided to take this photo. People say to me “your so lucky to be able to travel like you do” my reply is “I know I am” and to myself i try never to lose sight of how fortunate I am to be able to see so much and travel so far. My 1st wedding is next Saturday so looking forward to meeting this years couples and documenting their day. Should be a fun summer!
